How to Draw a Tape Dispenser
Draw a tape dispenser in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
Below the middle draw the body: a big round hump at the back, sloping down to a flat front block.
Tip Like a whale with a flat top.
Step 2: The roll
On the hump draw a big circle for the roll of tape, sticking up above it. Add a small hole.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
On the flat front block draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The tape strip
Start on top of the roll. Draw a thin strip of tape sloping down to the front of the body.
Step 6: The cutter
Along the flat top at the front draw a short zigzag of little teeth pointing down.
Tip Small even teeth, like a tiny saw.
Step 7: Shine and core
On the top left of the roll draw one short curved shine. Draw a ring round the hole.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 3 fat sparkle stars in the air around the dispenser, not touching it.
Step 9: The table
Draw a table line under the body, from well left of it to well right.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Sand strip, tan roll
Colour the tape strip sand and the roll tan. Leave the hole white.
Step 12: Grey teeth, navy body
Colour the cutter teeth grey, then the body navy around the roll, face and teeth. Your tape dispenser is ready!
