How to Draw Tabbouleh
Draw tabbouleh in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a big plate.
Step 1: A big plate
In the middle draw a big oval plate, nearly as wide as the paper, and a smaller oval inside it.
Step 2: A heaped mound
Inside the rim draw a big round heap of salad with a soft bumpy edge, leaving plate showing all round.
Step 3: Chopped parsley
Over the mound draw 5 tiny curved dashes, leaning different ways and spread apart, for chopped parsley.
Step 4: Tomato bits
On the mound, between the dashes, draw 5 little squares, each tilted a different way, for chopped tomato.
Step 5: A mint leaf
Upper left on the mound draw one little pointed leaf leaning up right, with a vein up its middle.
Step 6: A lemon wedge
Front right, draw a lemon wedge: a half round, flat side down, with a curve and 3 segment lines inside.
Step 7: Bulgur grains
Scatter 4 tiny tilted ovals over the mound for bulgur grains, away from the tomatoes, dashes and leaf.
Step 8: The table
Draw a line under the plate from left to right, just touching its bottom.
Step 9: Cream grains, yellow lemon
Go over your lines, then colour the grains cream and the lemon wedge yellow.
Step 10: Red tomatoes, dark mint
Colour the tomato bits red and the mint leaf dark green.
Step 11: Green salad
Colour the mound green, going around the tomato bits, grains, mint leaf and lemon.
Step 12: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going around the salad and the lemon, and your tabbouleh is done!
