How to Draw Swim Trunks
Draw swim trunks in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the waistband.
Step 1: The waistband
Above the middle of your paper draw a long flat box with soft corners. Leave room above it.
Step 2: Two short legs
Start at the waistband's bottom-left corner. Draw 2 short wide legs hanging down and stop at the bottom-right corner.
Step 3: Drawstring bow
Draw a bow in the band's middle: a knot and 2 round loops. Hang 2 short strings from the knot.
Step 4: Two big eyes
Below the waistband draw 2 big round eyes, an eye-width apart. Fill each with a black dot, leaving a shine.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a big wide U smile with a little tongue. Add a flat cheek under each eye.
Step 6: Little waves
Low on each leg, near the side, draw 2 short wavy lines, one above the other.
Step 7: The hanger
Draw 2 clips joined by a bar on the waistband. From the bar a hook curls over to the left.
Step 8: The rail
Start at the left edge, level with the hook's tip. Draw a rail across to the right edge.
Step 9: Sky blue waistband
Colour the waistband sky blue, leaving the bow white.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, orange trunks
Colour the cheeks and tongue pink, then the trunks orange around them. Leave the eyes white. You are done!
