How to Draw a Swan Pedal Boat
Draw a swan pedal boat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the swan body.
Step 1: The swan body
Below the middle draw the swan's body like a boat, with a pointy tail rising at the right.
Tip A long dipping back and a fat round bottom.
Step 2: The neck
From the body's front draw a fat S neck up and forward, getting thinner. Stop where the head goes.
Step 3: Head and beak
On the neck draw an egg head tipped forward, with a long pointed beak and one round eye.
Step 4: The wing
A finger under the top edge, draw a long round wing with 3 feather bumps pointing to the tail.
Step 5: The rider's head
Above the middle of the body, a hand up from the back line, draw a round head.
Step 6: Face and cap
Add 2 round eyes and a smile. Cap brim: start high on the left, rule across, stop on the right.
Step 7: Body and arm
Draw a shirt from the back up to the chin. Add a T-bar post and an arm holding it.
Tip The arm bends at the elbow; the bar runs behind the fist.
Step 8: Waves
From the left edge draw gentle hill bumps across the boat to the right edge. Lower down, 6 bigger bumps.
Tip The top wave runs just above the boat's bottom.
Step 9: The sun
In the top right corner draw a circle for the sun, with 8 short rays pointing out all around.
Step 10: White swan, peach face
Go over your lines. Colour the swan white, the beak orange, and the rider's face and hand peach.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Blue sea, yellow sun
Colour the sea blue, from the top wave down to the bottom. Colour the sun and the cap yellow.
Step 12: Red shirt, grey bar
Colour the rider's shirt and sleeve red, and the steering post and bar grey. Your swan pedal boat is ready!
