How to Draw a Sunday Roast
Draw a Sunday roast in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
In the middle of your paper draw a big flat oval plate, as wide as your hand.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second oval a finger inside the plate, for the rim.
Step 3: Beef slices
On the left of the plate draw 3 flat oval slices in a fan, each tucked behind the last.
Tip A Sunday roast is beef with yorkshire pudding, potatoes, veg and gravy.
Step 4: Pink middles
Inside each slice draw a smaller flat oval, for the pink middle of the meat.
Step 5: A puddle of gravy
Under the slices draw a wobbly flat puddle of gravy, peeking out below and to the right.
Step 6: A yorkshire pudding
Top right, draw a small crinkly cup. Join its top corners with a crinkly smile. Add an oval dip.
Step 7: Roast potatoes
Under the pudding draw 2 chunky potatoes, the right one tucked behind. Join each one's top corners with a curve.
Step 8: Carrots
Top left, draw 2 fat carrot sticks crossing like an X, each one thinner at the far end.
Step 9: Peas
Under the gravy, draw 4 little circles for peas.
Step 10: Pink middles, tan pudding
Go over your lines, then colour the middles of the beef pink and the yorkshire pudding tan around the dip.
Step 11: Orange carrots, golden potatoes
Colour the carrots orange and the roast potatoes golden yellow.
Step 12: Brown beef and gravy
Colour the beef slices brown around the pink middles. Colour the gravy and the dip light brown.
Step 13: Green peas, blue plate
Colour the peas green, then colour the plate sky blue, going around all the food.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a Sunday roast, drawn by you.
