How to Draw a Stuffed Koala

Draw a stuffed koala in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head.

Step 1: Big head
Near the top of your paper, draw a big head, wider than tall, with fat round cheeks.
Tip The head is almost half of the whole koala.
Step 2: Big fluffy ears
High on each side of the head, draw a big round ear with 4 soft bumps. Add an oval inside.
Tip The ears are almost as big as the face!
Step 3: Two big eyes
Halfway down the head, draw 2 big round eyes close together. Colour black dots with white shines.
Step 4: Big nose
Under the eyes, draw 1 big tall oval nose. Colour it black, leaving a little white speck.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the nose, draw 2 little smiles swinging out like a wide W. Add a small oval cheek each side.
Step 6: Round belly
Start under the left cheek. Draw a big pear body, back up to the right cheek.
Tip The body is narrower than the head.
Step 7: Hugging arms
Start under each ear. Draw a fat sausage arm down to a mitten under the tummy, back to the cheek.
Step 8: Legs and feet
Start halfway down each side of the belly. Draw a round C leg out, with a flat foot under it.
Step 9: Toes and ground
On the end of each foot, draw 2 short toe lines. Then draw a ground line under both feet.
Step 10: A leaf to hug
Between the mittens, draw a big teardrop leaf, point up, tucked behind the mittens. Add a vein line.
Step 11: Arm stitches
On the left arm, draw 2 little crosses, one above the other, for stitches.
Step 12: Cream and pink
Colour the inner ears and the feet cream, and the cheeks pink.
Step 13: Green leaf, grey fur
Colour the leaf green. Then colour the fur grey, around the cream, pink and green parts. Keep the eyes white.
