How to Draw a Student
Draw a student in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and ears.
Step 1: Head and ears
Near the top draw an egg head. On each side draw a C ear, starting and stopping on the head.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 eyes with a black dot and a white shine, a small nose, a smile and 2 eyebrows.
Step 3: Tufty hair
Start on the left of the head. Draw a row of soft tufts over the top, stop on the right.
Tip Soft round bumps, the middle ones tallest.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. Start at the left one, draw a T-shirt, stop at the right one.
Step 5: Arms
From each sleeve draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending a little at the elbow and getting narrower.
Step 6: Mitten hands
At the bottom of each arm draw a mitten like an egg bottom, with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 7: Backpack
Draw the backpack top from shoulder to shoulder. Add straps curving out to the sides, and corners under the arms.
Tip The rest of the backpack hides behind the body.
Step 8: Shorts
Start at the shirt's bottom left corner. Draw shorts with a dip between the legs, stop at the right corner.
Step 9: Legs
For each leg, start on the shorts. Draw 2 lines down, closer together where they stop at the ankle.
Step 10: Sneakers and ground
Under each leg draw a sneaker with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, ears, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow T-shirt
Colour the T-shirt yellow, going round the backpack straps.
Step 13: Red backpack, blue sneakers
Colour the backpack and its straps red, and the sneakers blue.
Step 14: Brown hair, navy shorts
Colour the hair brown and the shorts navy. Go over your lines and your student is done.
