9 steps · Tricky · about 7 min

Draw a string of pearls in 9 steps, about 7 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pot.

Print

  1. Step 1: The pot

Near the top draw a flat rim box. From each end draw a side down and join them underneath.

Tip A string of pearls plant spills over its pot like necklaces hanging down.

  2. Step 2: The shelf

Under the pot draw a long shelf line touching its bottom. Under each end draw a small triangle bracket.

  3. Step 3: Pearls on top

Along the top of the rim draw 6 round beads in a low hill, peeking up out of the pot.

  4. Step 4: Left strings

Start behind the left beads. Draw a long and a short wavy thread over the rim, stopping in the air.

  5. Step 5: Two on the right

Start behind the right beads. Draw a long and a short thread the same way, stopping in the air.

  6. Step 6: Outer beads

Draw round beads along both long threads, with a little gap between each, smaller near the tips.

  7. Step 7: Inner beads

Draw beads along both short threads the same way, getting smaller near the tips.

  8. Step 8: Orange pot

Go over your lines, then colour the pot orange.

  9. Step 9: Green beads

Colour all the beads green, and your plant is done!
