How to Draw a Strawberry Shortcake
Draw a strawberry shortcake in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: front of the slice.
Step 1: Front of the slice
In the middle, draw a long low rectangle lying flat for the front of the slice.
Step 2: Top corners
From each top corner of the front, slant a short line up to the right and stop.
Step 3: Back edge
Start at the top of the right slant. Draw a line straight down, then slant down to the bottom-right corner.
Step 4: Cake layers
Draw 4 long lines across the front of the slice: 2 close together in the middle, 2 near the bottom.
Step 5: Whipped cream
Start at the top of the left slant. Draw soft cream bumps over to the right slant.
Tip Big fluffy bumps like a cloud.
Step 6: Cream drips
Start on the top edge. Draw 2 drips down, round, back up to it. Rub out the edge inside each.
Step 7: A strawberry
On the top of the cake, draw a fat strawberry standing up, round on top and pointy at the bottom.
Step 8: Leaves and seeds
On top of the strawberry, draw 4 soft pointy leaves and a short stalk. Dot 5 tiny seeds.
Step 9: A plate
Start on the left of the slice. Draw a flat oval plate behind it, passing under the bottom.
Step 10: Pink jam
Colour the 2 thin layers pink for jam. Leave the cream and drips white.
Step 11: Tan sponge
Colour the cake tan, around the pink jam and the white drips.
Step 12: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue around the cake.
Step 13: Red berry
Go over your lines. Colour the strawberry red and its leaves green. Your strawberry shortcake is ready for a party!
