How to Draw a Stage
Draw a stage in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: curtain top.
Step 1: Curtain top
Near the top, start at the left edge. Rule a line, stopping at the right edge. Hang 9 bumps under.
Step 2: Two curtains
Under each end of the frill, draw a tall curtain, pinched in the middle and flared at the bottom.
Step 3: Tie-backs
Where each curtain pinches in, draw a band right across it, from the outside edge to the inside edge.
Step 4: Curtain folds
On each curtain, draw 2 lines from the frill to the tie-back, and 1 from the tie-back to the bottom.
Step 5: Stage floor
Under the curtains, draw a long flat box from edge to edge for the stage floor.
Step 6: Spotlight
In the middle, just above the floor, draw a wide flat oval for the spotlight.
Step 7: The star
In the middle, draw a big 5-point star with its 2 bottom points standing in the spotlight.
Step 8: Two big eyes
In the middle of the star, draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a big black dot and a white shine.
Step 9: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 10: Sparkles
Draw 2 sparkles up high, one each side of the star: a tall thin diamond crossed with a wide one.
Step 11: Yellow star
Colour the star, the sparkles and the tie-backs yellow. Leave the eyes and cheeks white.
Step 12: Pink cheeks, wood floor
Colour the cheeks pink and the floor wood brown.
Step 13: Red curtains
Go over your lines. Colour the curtains and frill red, around the yellow tie-backs. Your stage is ready!
