How to Draw a Stadium
Draw a stadium in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Above the middle of your paper draw a very wide flat oval, nearly as wide as the page.
Tip A stadium is a giant bowl: you look down into it.
Step 2: The wall
Start at the oval's left end. Slant down and in, go flat along, then up to the right end.
Step 3: The pitch
Inside the rim draw a second flat oval a finger inside it, for the green pitch.
Step 4: Lines on the pitch
Draw a line across the pitch middle, with a circle in the centre. Add a goal box at each end.
Step 5: Rows of seats
On the wall draw 3 curved lines from side to side, evenly spaced, for rows of seats.
Step 6: Floodlights
Near each rim end draw a tall pole up from the rim, stopping under a flat box with 3 lights.
Step 7: Flags
Left and right of the middle draw a short pole up from the rim, stopping under a little triangle flag.
Step 8: The ground
Draw the ground line from the left edge to the stadium, and from the stadium to the right edge.
Step 9: Lights and rim
Colour the little lights yellow, and the rim light grey, going around the pitch.
Step 10: Grey wall
Colour the wall grey, and the floodlight boxes grey too, around the lights.
Step 11: Green pitch, red flags
Colour the pitch leaf green, going round its lines, and the flags red. Your stadium is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a stadium, drawn by you.
