How to Draw a Sphynx Cat

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a sphynx cat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper, draw a big egg on its side with chubby cheeks and a soft chin.

Tip The head takes up more than half of the whole cat.

  2. Step 2: Huge bat ears

From the side of the head, draw a huge pointy ear leaning out, back to the top. Do both.

Tip Each ear is about half as tall as the head. Draw a big V inside each one.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

On the head's middle, draw 2 big ovals an eye apart. Inside each, draw a dot with a shine.

  4. Step 4: Nose and W smile

Below the eyes, draw an upside-down triangle nose. From its point, draw a W smile, curling up under each eye.

  5. Step 5: Round body and chest

From each cheek, draw a big C down to meet at the bottom. Add a U chest under the chin.

Tip A fat pear hanging off the cheeks, never wider than the head.

  6. Step 6: Front legs

Start on the chest line. Draw a U leg down to a fat mitten paw and back up. Do both.

Tip Short legs, big paws. Add 2 toe curves to each paw.

  7. Step 7: Long curling tail

Start low on the right of the body. Draw a thin tail along the ground, curling up to a tip.

  8. Step 8: Back paws

Under each side of the body, draw a plump bun paw on the ground, behind the front paw.

  9. Step 9: Wrinkles

High on the forehead, draw 2 short rainbow lines, one above the other, well above the eyes.

  10. Step 10: The ground

Draw a flat ground line under the paws, from the left back paw to a little past the tail.

  11. Step 11: Peach skin

Colour the whole cat peach: head, ears, body, legs, paws and tail. Leave the ear insides, nose and eyes white.

Tip This cat has no fur, just soft wrinkly skin.

  12. Step 12: Pink and green

Colour the nose and the ear insides pink. Colour a green circle round each black dot, leaving a white edge.
