How to Draw a Space Station
Draw a space station in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the module.
Step 1: The module
In the middle of your paper, draw a chunky rounded box lying down, wider than tall, with big soft corners.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Inside the module, near the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart. Add black dots and shines.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Two beams
From the middle of each side of the module, draw a short thick bar going straight out.
Step 5: Solar wings
On the end of each bar, draw a big square with soft corners, a bit taller than the module.
Step 6: Wing squares
Draw a line across the middle of each wing and 3 lines down it, making a grid of little squares.
Step 7: Top capsule
Draw a small sideways capsule on the module. Near each end, draw a line from top to bottom.
Step 8: Earth below
Start at the left edge, low down. Draw a gentle rainbow curve across to the right edge for the Earth.
Step 9: Air around Earth
Just above the Earth, draw another gentle rainbow curve from the left edge to the right edge.
Step 10: Stars
Draw 4 little stars around the station, 2 up high and 2 down low.
Step 11: Yellow stars, pink cheeks
Colour the stars yellow and the cheeks pink. Leave the module, the capsule and the eyes white.
Step 12: Grey beams, sky band
Colour the 2 beams grey and the thin band above the Earth sky blue.
Step 13: Blue Earth, navy wings
Colour the Earth water blue and the solar wings navy around the grid lines. Your space station is in orbit!
