How to Draw a Soda
Draw a soda in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top of the can.
Step 1: Top of the can
Near the top of your paper draw a flat oval for the top of the can, about a palm wide.
Step 2: The can
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw down, round the bottom, and back up to the right end.
Step 3: The ring pull
On the top oval, right of the middle, draw a small flat oval ring pull with a tiny hole.
Step 4: The label band
Draw 2 gentle smiles across the can from side to side, one high and one low.
Step 5: A swoosh
Inside the band draw a wavy swoosh line from the left edge to the right edge, like a splash.
Step 6: The hole
Just left of the ring pull, draw a small flat oval for the hole. Colour it black.
Step 7: The straw
Stand a thin straw in the hole. It goes straight up, then bends to the right at the top.
Step 8: Fizz
Just above the top, beside the straw, draw 3 little bubbles rising, smaller as they go up.
Step 9: Table line
Start near the left edge and draw a table line under the can. Stop near the right edge.
Step 10: Sky straw
Go over your lines. Colour the straw sky blue.
Step 11: Grey top
Colour the top of the can and the ring pull grey, around the straw and the hole.
Step 12: Red can
Colour the can red, leaving the band and a thin shine white.

Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a soda, drawn by you.
