How to Draw a Soccer Ball
Draw a soccer ball in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round ball.
Step 1: Big round ball
In the middle, draw 1 big round circle. Make it nearly fill the page, leaving a little room for grass.
Step 2: Window and roof
Draw a big hexagon window in the ball. From its top-left corner, draw a pointy roof ending at the top-right.
Tip Leave a finger of ball clear on each side of the window.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Inside the window, draw 2 big round eyes, a gap apart. Add a black dot and a shine in each.
Step 4: Big smile
Under the eyes, draw a big smile, like a D on its back. Add a tongue and 2 round cheeks.
Step 5: Side patches
From the window's right point, draw a sideways roof ending at its bottom-right corner. Do the left too.
Tip All 3 patches are the same shape and size.
Step 6: Bent seams
Join the roofs with 3 bent seams. Each starts at a roof corner and stops at the next roof's corner.
Tip Each seam has 2 bends.
Step 7: Seams to the edge
Draw a short line from each roof tip and each seam bend out to the ball's edge. That makes 9.
Step 8: Grass patch
Start at the ball's left side, draw a wide flat oval under it, and stop at its right side.
Tip Add a small grass tuft on the oval near each end.
Step 9: Green grass
Colour the grass patch and the 2 tufts green. Colour the cheeks and the tongue pink.
Step 10: Black patches
Colour the 3 roofs and the 3 edge patches black. Colour the mouth black around the tongue.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
