How to Draw a Snowboarder

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a snowboarder in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.

  2. Step 2: The face

Draw 2 small eyes with black dots below the middle of the head. Add a tiny nose and a smile.

  3. Step 3: Hat and goggles

Draw a woolly hat over the head, eyebrow to eyebrow, with a band and pompom. Add goggles on the band.

Tip The goggles are 2 rounded lenses, a little taller than the band.

  4. Step 4: Neck and puffy jacket

From a short neck, draw a puffy jacket with short sleeves, down to the waist. Add a zip and stripes.

  5. Step 5: Arms held out

From each short sleeve, draw a long sleeve out to the side, bent at the elbow. Add a cuff.

  6. Step 6: Mittens

On each wrist, draw a thick mitten like the end of an egg, with a little thumb bump on top.

  7. Step 7: Bent-knee trousers

From the jacket hem, draw 2 trouser legs down to the ankles, knees bowing out, and back to the hem.

Tip Knees bow out like riding a board; add a curve across each.

  8. Step 8: Boots and straps

Under each leg, draw a chunky boot, toe pointing out, with a flat sole. Add 2 strap curves across each.

  9. Step 9: Snowboard

Under both boots, draw one long flat pill snowboard leaning down to the left, with a stripe along its middle.

  10. Step 10: Snow slope

Start left of the board and draw a slope line along its bottom. Stop past the other end.

  11. Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour the face and neck peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Leave the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Teal jacket, orange hat

Colour the hat and snowboard orange, and the jacket, mittens and band teal around the goggles. Leave the pompom white.

  13. Step 13: Trousers, goggles and boots

Colour the trousers and goggles slate grey, and the boots navy.

Tip Go over your lines and you're done.
