How to Draw a Snow Leopard
Draw a snow leopard in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
On the left, draw a round head, a bit wider than tall, with full round cheeks.
Tip Leave lots of room on the right for the long body and tail.
Step 2: Small round ears
On each upper side of the head, draw a small round ear. Add a little half-moon inside each.
Step 3: Eyes and spots
In the middle of the head, draw 2 big eggy eyes with black dots and shines. Dot 3 forehead spots.
Step 4: Snout and whiskers
Under the eyes, draw an oval snout, black nose, w smile. Sweep 3 whiskers from it out to each cheek.
Step 5: The back
Start behind the head. Draw a long, gently arched back, round a big bottom and stop underneath.
Tip Keep the back almost flat and high, so there is room for long legs.
Step 6: Front leg and tummy
Draw the ground. From the chin, draw a leg down to a paw, then a tummy line to the middle.
Tip Long legs, so the tummy stays high. The paw is wider than the wrist.
Step 7: Back leg
From the tummy end, draw a round thigh and a long leg down to a plump paw under the bottom.
Step 8: Far legs
Draw 2 thinner far legs peeking out, one behind the front leg and one in front of the back leg.
Step 9: Huge fluffy tail
From the top of the bottom, sweep a long fat tail down, then curl the tip up.
Tip As long as the body and as fat as a leg: the biggest tail of any cat.
Step 10: Smoky rings
Draw 5 broken rings on the body, like the letter C. Dot 2 spots on the tail.
Step 11: Smoky grey fur
Colour the fur pale grey, around the ring middles. Leave the eyes, snout and ear insides white.
Step 12: Grey middles
Colour the white middle of each ring a darker grey.
Step 13: Black rings
Colour each broken ring black, pressing hard so the rings stand out.
