How to Draw a Queen

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a queen in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Egg head

Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the long gown.

  2. Step 2: The face

Draw 2 round eyes with dots, shines and a tiny lash each. Add a U nose, a smile and eyebrows.

  3. Step 3: Hair and fringe

Start left by the eyebrows. Draw hair over the head, down to the right, and a curved fringe across.

  4. Step 4: Long hair

Start on the hair by each temple. Draw long hair down to the shoulder and back up to the chin.

  5. Step 5: Crown

Start left above the eyebrows. Zigzag 3 crown points across, stopping on the right. Add a ball on each point.

  6. Step 6: Gown and necklace

Start under the chin. Draw the gown down to a wavy hem and back up. Add a jewel necklace.

Tip Give the gown puffy shoulders. Hang the necklace from collar to collar, with a round jewel in the middle.

  7. Step 7: Long sleeves

From each short sleeve, draw 2 lines down for a long sleeve, stopping at the wrist. Add a cuff curve.

  8. Step 8: Mitten hands

Start at each outside wrist. Draw a round mitten with a thumb pointing in, and stop at the inside wrist.

  9. Step 9: Sash

Draw a line across the waist from side to side, and a second line just below it, for the sash.

  10. Step 10: Shoes and ground

Under the hem, draw 2 shoes peeking out, toes pointing out. Draw a long ground line under them.

  11. Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour a pink cheek on each side, then the face, neck and hands peach around them.

    Tip Keep the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Yellow crown, red sash

Colour the crown yellow, and the jewel, sash and shoes red.

  13. Step 13: Purple gown, brown hair

Colour the gown and sleeves purple, and the hair brown. Your queen is done!
