How to Draw a Sloth Bear
Draw a sloth bear in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top left, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall. Leave room on the right.
Step 2: Eyes and long snout
Draw 2 big eyes and a long snout below them. From the black nose, draw down to a w smile.
Tip Let the snout hang below the chin: sloth bears have long snouts.
Step 3: The ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a round ear like a cookie, with a smaller curve inside.
Step 4: The body
Behind the head, draw a bean body with shaggy bumps along the back, a round bottom and a smooth tummy.
Tip No neck: the head sits right on the shoulders.
Step 5: Two legs
Draw a ground line. Add a leg under the chest and one under the bottom, each narrowing to a paw.
Tip Legs are wide at the top, narrow at the ankle, with a round paw.
Step 6: The far legs
Add the 2 far legs peeking out, a bit thinner: one behind the front leg, one before the back leg.
Step 7: The tail
On the top corner of the bottom, draw a short stubby tail pointing out and down, like a little thumb.
Step 8: The chest V
Start under the chin. Draw a big V on the chest, down to a point and up to the shoulder.
Tip Make the V thick like a bib, with a round tip up at the shoulder.
Step 9: Cream snout and V
Colour the snout and the chest V cream, and the ear insides grey.
Step 10: Colour it slate
Go over your lines. Colour the bear slate grey around the snout, ear insides and V. Leave the eyes white.
