How to Draw a Skyscraper
Draw a skyscraper in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall block.
Step 1: The tall block
In the middle of your paper draw a very tall thin block with a flat top.
Tip Make it more than 3 times taller than it is wide.
Step 2: Cap and antenna
On top draw a smaller box, starting and stopping on the top line. Add an antenna up to a ball.
Step 3: The front doors
At the bottom middle draw a wide door on the bottom line. Split it down the middle for 2 doors.
Step 4: Window rows
Draw 4 rows of 2 square windows down the top half of the block, evenly spaced, like a grid.
Step 5: More windows
Draw 3 more rows of 2 square windows under them, stopping above the doors.
Step 6: Ground line
Draw a long ground line along the bottom of the block, from near the left edge to near the right.
Step 7: Side wings
From halfway down each side, draw a low building out and down to the ground. Make the left one lower.
Step 8: Wing windows
Draw 2 rows of 2 square windows on the right wing and one row of 2 on the left wing.
Step 9: Tree and cloud
On the left, draw a trunk from the ground up to a bumpy tree top. Add a cloud top right.
Step 10: Sky windows, green tree
Colour the tall block's windows sky blue and the tree top leaf green. Leave the cloud white.
Step 11: Grey wings
Colour the wing windows sky blue too. Colour the 2 wings grey around them.
Step 12: Slate tower, brown trunk
Colour the trunk brown, and the block, cap and doors slate grey around the windows. Your skyscraper is done!
