How to Draw an Acrobat

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw an acrobat in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head. The chin end is a little narrower.

Tip Leave room below for the body, legs and a big ball.

  2. Step 2: The face

Draw 2 round eyes with a shine and a tiny lash. Add a U nose, a smile and 2 eyebrows.

  3. Step 3: Hair and bun

Draw hair over the top of the head with a curved fringe. On top draw a round bun.

  4. Step 4: Neck and leotard

Draw 2 neck lines. Start at the left, draw a leotard with sleeves and leg holes, stop at the right.

  5. Step 5: Star on the chest

Draw a star with 5 points in the middle of the leotard.

  6. Step 6: Arms held out

From each sleeve, draw 2 lines out to the side, sloping gently down and getting thinner, stopping at the wrist.

  7. Step 7: Mitten hands

Start at each wrist. Draw a round mitten with a little thumb on top, ending back at the wrist.

  8. Step 8: Legs

From each leg hole, draw 2 lines down that get closer together, stopping at a thin ankle near the middle.

  9. Step 9: Slippers

Under each ankle, draw a small slipper pointing out, with the 2 heels touching in the middle.

  10. Step 10: Ball and ground

Under the slippers draw a big round ball, its top just under the soles. Add a ground line below.

  11. Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Red leotard, yellow star

Colour the star yellow. Colour the leotard and the slippers red around the star.

  13. Step 13: Blue ball, brown hair

Colour the ball blue and the hair and bun brown. Go over your lines, and your acrobat is done!
