How to Draw a Shield Hero

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a shield hero in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a bit narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.

  2. Step 2: Hood edge

Draw the hood's bottom edge across the forehead, from the left side of the head across to the right.

  3. Step 3: Face

Under the hood edge draw 2 big eyes with black dots and shines, a tiny U nose and a smile.

  4. Step 4: Neck and suit

Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw shoulders, sides and a flat bottom, up to the right one.

  5. Step 5: Chest bolt

On the chest draw a lightning bolt, a zigzag with a flat top and a sharp point at the bottom.

  6. Step 6: Arms

Start at each shoulder. Draw the arm down to the wrist, bent a little, and back up to the armpit.

Tip Make each arm thinner at the wrist, with a soft bend at the elbow.

  7. Step 7: Gloves

At each wrist draw a round mitten glove, like the bottom of an egg. Add a thumb bump pointing in.

  8. Step 8: Round shield

Behind the left glove draw a big round shield. Inside it draw a ring and a lightning bolt.

  9. Step 9: Belt and trousers

Draw a belt and buckle above the suit's bottom. From the left corner draw 2 legs, ending at the right.

  10. Step 10: Boots and ground

Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under them.

  11. Step 11: Yellow shield and belt

Colour the shield yellow, but not its bolt or the glove. Colour the chest bolt, belt and buckle yellow too.

  12. Step 12: Peach face

Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face and neck peach around them. Leave the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Red and blue

Colour the gloves, boots and shield bolt red. Colour the hood, suit, arms and trousers blue around the yellow parts.
