How to Draw a Sheep with Lamb

Draw a sheep with lamb in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: mum's long head.

Step 1: Mum's long head
Near the top, left of the middle, draw a tall egg head, narrower at the bottom.
Tip Leave room below it on the left for the lamb.
Step 2: Wool and ears
On top of the head draw a woolly cap of bumps. Under it, draw a leaf ear on each side.
Tip Draw a thin leaf inside each ear.
Step 3: Mum's face
Draw 2 big oval eyes with black dots. Below them add a small triangle nose and a w smile.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.
Step 4: Woolly body
Behind the head draw a big cloud of soft bumps for her woolly body.
Tip The cloud is longer than it is tall, and it tucks behind her head.
Step 5: Two strong legs
Rule the ground. Under the wool draw a front leg and a back leg, with a line across each hoof.
Tip Each leg gets thinner on the way down.
Step 6: Far legs and tail
Between them draw 2 more legs peeking out. Add a fluffy pom-pom tail at the back.
Tip All 4 hooves stand on the ground line.
Step 7: Lamb's head
Low on the left draw a small round head. Add a woolly cap and 2 leaf ears.
Tip The lamb's head stays below mum's chin.
Step 8: Lamb's face
Give the lamb 2 big eyes with black dots, a tiny triangle nose and a w smile.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.
Step 9: Lamb's woolly body
Behind the lamb's head draw a small cloud of soft bumps for its woolly body.
Tip Leave a little gap before mum's wool.
Step 10: Lamb's long legs
Under the lamb draw a thin front leg and a thin back leg, with a line across each hoof.
Tip A lamb's legs are long for its little body.
Step 11: More legs, small tail
Between them draw 2 more thin legs. Add a little tail hanging from the lamb's bottom.
Step 12: Cream and pink
Colour all the wool cream. Colour both noses and the inside of all 4 ears pink.
Step 13: Sand and grey
Colour both faces, the ears and all 8 legs sand. Colour the 8 hooves dark grey.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
