How to Draw a Paraceratherium

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a paraceratherium in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: small head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Small head

Near the top left draw a bean head lying down, taller on the right, with a round nose end.

Tip Keep it small and up high. A long thick neck goes under it.

  2. Step 2: Leaf ears

Draw 2 leaf ears on the top right of the head, a small leaf inside each. The left is smaller.

  3. Step 3: Big eyes

In the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes with black dots.

Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.

  4. Step 4: Nose and smile

Near the nose end draw a small curved nostril. Under it draw a long smile.

Tip No horn: this giant rhino never had one.

  5. Step 5: Neck and back

Start on the head by the right eye. Draw the long neck, back and round bottom. Stop halfway down.

Tip The neck slopes down to a high shoulder.

  6. Step 6: Ground line

Near the bottom of the paper draw a long flat line for the ground.

  7. Step 7: Chest and front leg

From under the chin draw the throat down to a round chest. Tuck under, then draw a leg and foot.

Tip The leg starts under the chest and gets thinner towards the foot.

  8. Step 8: Tummy and back leg

From the front leg draw a round tummy. Then a thick back leg, a foot, and up to the bottom.

  9. Step 9: Far legs

Draw 2 more legs peeking out: one behind the front leg, one in front of the back leg.

Tip Only a thin strip of each far leg shows. All 4 feet sit on the ground.

  10. Step 10: Toes

On each big foot draw 2 short curved toe lines. Draw 1 on each small foot.

  11. Step 11: Tufty tail

Start on top of the bottom. Draw a thin tail curving out and down. End it with a leaf tuft.

  12. Step 12: Shoulder and hip

From the top of each big leg draw a curved line up into the body. Stop halfway up.

  13. Step 13: Pink ears

Colour the small leaf inside each ear pink.

  14. Step 14: Colour it grey

Colour the paraceratherium grey, around the pink ear insides. Leave the eyes white.
