How to Draw a Rainbow Cat
Draw a rainbow cat in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Near the top left, draw a round head, a little wider at the cheeks.
Tip Leave the whole lower half of the page for the rainbow.
Step 2: Eyes, nose and smile
Across the head's middle, draw 2 big oval eyes with black dots. Add a triangle nose and a W smile.
Step 3: Ears and whiskers
On each top corner, draw a wide pointy ear with a triangle inside. Add 2 whiskers on each cheek.
Step 4: Bean body
Behind the head, draw a soft bean body lying sideways, ending back under the cheek.
Step 5: Standing legs
Under the chest and the bottom, draw 2 short legs straight down, with round paws and 2 toe lines each.
Tip Only 2 legs show: the far legs hide behind the body.
Step 6: Streaming tail
From the top of the bottom, draw a long thin tail streaming up and back, narrow at the tip.
Step 7: Clouds and rainbow
Draw a cloud low on each side. Start on one cloud, draw a huge rainbow, and stop on the other.
Tip Let the rainbow pass right under the cat's paws.
Step 8: Five more rainbows
Inside the big rainbow, draw 5 more, each a finger inside the last. Start and stop on the clouds.
Step 9: Pink ears
Colour the insides of the ears pink.
Step 10: Yellow and orange
Colour the middle band yellow and the band above it orange.
Step 11: Ginger fur
Go over your lines. Colour the cat ginger around the pink ears. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red and green
Colour the outside band red and the band under the yellow one green.
Step 13: Blue band
Colour the inside band blue and leave the clouds white. Your rainbow cat is done!
