How to Draw a Shark with Sneakers

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a shark with sneakers in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the snout.

Print

  1. Step 1: The snout

On the left draw a big C for the snout. Start high, bulge out to a nose and stop lower.

Tip Leave lots of room on the right for the body and tail.

  2. Step 2: One huge eye

Behind the nose draw one huge round eye. Fill most of it with a black dot. Leave 2 white shines.

Tip The bigger the eye, the cuter the shark.

  3. Step 3: Back and fin

Start at the snout top. Draw the back up into a big sail fin, then down to a thin neck.

  4. Step 4: The tail

Start on the tail neck. Swing up into a long lobe, then a short lobe below, stopping under the neck.

Tip A shark tail is lopsided: long on top, short underneath.

  5. Step 5: Round tummy

Start at the chin. Draw a round tummy sagging under the body, then curve up to the tail bottom.

  6. Step 6: Big open mouth

Start on the front of the snout. Draw a smile, stop under the eye, and add a deeper U below.

  7. Step 7: Pointy teeth

Start on the top lip near the front. Zigzag 7 pointy teeth along the lip and stop near the corner.

  8. Step 8: Gills and stripe

Behind the eye draw 3 short gill lines. From the mouth corner draw one long curve back to the tail.

  9. Step 9: Side fin

Start on the stripe behind the gills. Draw a fin sweeping down to a round tip, back to the stripe.

  10. Step 10: Legs and sneakers

Under the tummy draw 2 legs, narrow at the ankle. Add chunky sneakers with soles, toe caps and 2 laces.

  11. Step 11: The ground

Draw a straight ground line under the sneakers, from below the snout to below the tail.

  12. Step 12: Cream tummy, pink mouth

Colour the tummy, jaw and legs cream, but not the fin. Colour inside the mouth pink, leaving teeth white.

  13. Step 13: Blue top, red sneakers

Colour the top half and side fin blue. Colour the sneakers red, leaving toe caps and soles white.

Tip Leave the eye white around the black dot.
