How to Draw a Serval
Draw a serval in 11 steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top left, draw a big soft head, wider than tall, with round cheeks. Leave room on the right.
Tip The head is about as big as the body is deep.
Step 2: Eyes, nose and whiskers
Draw 2 big eyes, a nose, a line from it down to a w smile, and 2 whiskers each side.
Step 3: The ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a tall leaf ear pointing up, with a smaller leaf inside.
Tip Ears sit on the top corners, never on the sides of the face.
Step 4: The neck
From behind the head, draw the back of the neck. Curve the front from the chin down to the chest.
Step 5: The body
From the neck, draw a big bean body: a long back, a round bottom, a tummy up to the chest.
Step 6: Two legs
Draw the ground. Draw a thin leg from the chest and a bent leg from the bottom, down to paws.
Step 7: The far legs
Draw the 2 far legs peeking out, one behind the front leg and one in front of the back leg.
Step 8: The tail
Start high on the bottom. Draw a short tail down to a round tip, with a line near the end.
Step 9: Spots
Dot little round spots over the back and sides, some big, some small.
Step 10: Colour it tan
Colour the ear middles peach, the nose pink, the rest tan around the spots and tip. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Colour the markings
Colour the spots and the tail tip black. Your serval is done!

Your finished drawing
