How to Draw a Segway
Draw a Segway in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: handlebar and grips.
Step 1: Handlebar and grips
Near the top, in the middle, draw a flat bar. Add a fat round grip on each end.
Tip Leave lots of paper below: the segway is tall.
Step 2: The straight pole
Start under the middle of the bar. Draw 2 long lines straight down, stopping a hand above the bottom.
Step 3: The platform
Across the bottom of the pole draw a flat board with round ends, a little narrower than the handlebar.
Step 4: Two big wheels
At each end of the board draw a big round wheel, hidden where the board covers it.
Step 5: Tyres and hubs
Inside each wheel draw a smaller circle, leaving a fat tyre. Add a small round hub in the middle.
Step 6: Two fenders
Start on each wheel's outside. Draw a thick rainbow over the top and stop on the wheel's inside.
Step 7: Foot pads
On the board draw 2 flat rounded rectangles, one on each side of the pole.
Step 8: The ground
Start left of the left wheel. Draw a straight line under both wheels and stop past the right wheel.
Step 9: Yellow and light grey
Colour the fenders and the platform yellow around the pads. Colour each wheel's middle light grey around the hub.
Step 10: Red grips, blue pole
Colour the 2 grips red, and the pole and the handlebar blue.
Step 11: Dark grey tyres
Colour the tyres, the hubs and the foot pads dark grey.
