How to Draw a Sea Arch
Draw a sea arch in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big rock.
Step 1: The big rock
Start low on the left. Draw a big bumpy rock: straight sides, a lumpy top. Stop level on the right.
Tip The sea has worn a hole through this huge rock.
Step 2: The hole
Start at the rock's bottom, left of the middle. Draw a rainbow hole, stop at the bottom on the right.
Tip Leave a thick leg of rock on each side.
Step 3: The sea
Start at the left edge and draw a sea line right across to the right edge, under the hole too.
Step 4: Cracks
From the rock's edge draw 3 short crooked cracks: one into each leg and one down from the top.
Step 5: Waves
On the sea draw 5 short wavy lines: one under the hole, one at each side, and 2 lower down.
Step 6: A little rock
Right of the big rock, draw a little bumpy rock poking out of the sea, flat on the water line.
Step 7: Seagulls
In the sky draw 3 flying gulls, like flat Ms. Start on the left of each, stop on the right.
Step 8: The sun
In the top right corner draw a round sun, about as big as a plum, with 8 short rays.
Step 9: Yellow sun
Colour the sun yellow.
Step 10: Grey rocks
Colour the big rock grey, all round the hole, and the little rock grey too.
Step 11: Blue sea
Colour the sea blue, down to the bottom edge and under the arch. Your sea arch is done!
