How to Draw a Scottish Fold

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a Scottish fold in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper draw a big egg lying on its side. Give each cheek a fur puff.

Tip Make the head big, bigger than the body.

  2. Step 2: Folded ears

On each top corner of the head, draw a small flap folded forward, its tip pointing down.

Tip Folded ears lie low and flat, like tiny caps.

  3. Step 3: Big round eyes

In the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.

  4. Step 4: Nose and smile

Draw a small upside-down triangle nose under the eyes and colour it in. Hang a wide W smile from it.

  5. Step 5: Round body

Start under the left cheek and draw a big round body. Stop under the right cheek.

Tip The body is never wider than the head.

  6. Step 6: Front legs

From under the chin, draw a U leg down to a mitten paw. Do 2. Add paw curves and toes.

  7. Step 7: Curling tail

From the right hip, draw a thick tail to the ground, then curl it up, thinner, to a round tip.

  8. Step 8: Back paws

Under each side of the body draw a plump bun for a back paw. Add 2 toe curves.

  9. Step 9: Whiskers

Draw 3 whiskers on each cheek, starting on the fur puff and going out past the head.

  10. Step 10: The ground

Draw a ground line under the paws from left to right, under the tail too.

  11. Step 11: White tummy and paws

Colour the tummy strip and all 4 paws white.

  12. Step 12: Grey fur

Colour the fur grey, around the white tummy and paws. Leave the eyes white. Your Scottish fold is done!
