How to Draw a Ham
Draw a ham in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ham.
Step 1: The ham
In the middle draw a pear-shaped ham as wide as your hand, narrow left, fat right.
Tip Like a big pear lying on its side.
Step 2: The bone
From the narrow end draw a short thick bone pointing up left, with 2 little rounds on its end.
Step 3: Score lines one way
Across the top of the ham draw 3 slanted lines leaning right, side by side, stopping at the edge.
Step 4: Lines the other way
Now draw 3 slanted lines leaning left across them, so the top is covered in diamonds.
Step 5: Cloves and shine
Draw a tiny round in 4 of the diamonds for cloves, and a tiny tilted oval top-left for a shine.
Step 6: A platter
Behind the ham draw a big flat oval platter, wider than your hand. Add a second oval inside it.
Step 7: A pineapple ring
On the platter at the right draw a round ring: a round with a little round inside it.
Step 8: Steam and table
Above the ham draw 2 wiggly steam lines. Draw a table line under the platter, from left to right.
Step 9: Cream bone, yellow ring
Go over your lines. Colour the bone and its 2 rounds cream, and the pineapple ring yellow.
Step 10: Pink ham, brown cloves
Colour the ham pink, going around the cloves and leaving the shine white. Colour the 4 cloves brown.
Step 11: Sky blue platter
Colour the platter and the ring's hole sky blue, going around the ham and the ring.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a ham, drawn by you.
