How to Draw a School Choir
Draw a school choir in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: three heads.
Step 1: Three heads
Draw 3 egg heads in a row, with gaps between. Make the middle one highest and the right one lowest.
Tip Leave about a head's width between them, so the robes will fit.
Step 2: Singing faces
On each head draw 2 round black eyes with a tiny white shine, and a tall oval mouth, wide open.
Tip A wide open O mouth shows they are singing.
Step 3: Three hairstyles
Draw a bob, short hair with a fringe, and hair with a bun. Rub out the head lines inside.
Tip Every singer has a different hairstyle.
Step 4: White collars
Under each chin draw a wide U, from one side of the jaw round to the other, for a collar.
Step 5: Long robes
From each collar draw a shoulder and a hanging sleeve, step in, then a long side down to a hem.
Tip Do both sides the same. All 3 hems stop at the same height.
Step 6: Song books
On each chest draw an open book: a box with a small V dip at the top and bottom.
Step 7: Hands
Draw a small oval hand over each side of every book. Rub out the book edge inside each hand.
Step 8: Wide sleeves
From under each hand draw a short line down to the inside corner of the sleeve end.
Tip A choir robe has wide, hanging sleeves.
Step 9: Shoe tips
Under each hem draw 2 round shoe tips peeking out.
Step 10: The stage
Draw a long, low box under all the shoes for the stage step.
Tip Everyone stands on the same step.
Step 11: Skin colours
Colour the faces and hands: peach for the first and third child, brown for the middle one.
Step 12: Tan stage, red books
Colour the stage tan. Colour the 3 books and the 3 open mouths red, around the hands.
Step 13: Blue robes
Colour the 3 robes blue. Leave the collars white.
Step 14: Hair and shoes
Colour the bob brown, and the other hair and all the shoes black. Your school choir is ready to sing!
