How to Draw a Scarf
Draw a scarf in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big loop.
Step 1: The big loop
Above the middle, draw a big fat ring like a doughnut from the front. Add a flat hole on top.
Tip Make the ring wide, about a hand and a half across.
Step 2: The long tail
Near the ring's right end, draw a long strip hanging over its front edge, with a flat bottom.
Tip Rub out the bit of ring line inside the strip.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Draw 2 big egg eyes on the front of the ring, each with a black dot and white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Draw a small U smile under the eyes. Add a tiny flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The short tail
Left of the long tail, draw a shorter strip from under the ring, tucked behind it, with a flat bottom.
Step 6: Fringe
Along the flat bottom of each tail, draw a row of short lines hanging down like a comb.
Step 7: Long tail stripes
Across the long tail, draw 2 stripes. Each is 2 straight lines close together, edge to edge.
Step 8: Short tail stripes
Across the short tail, draw 2 stripes the same way, a little higher. Stop at the long tail.
Step 9: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Red scarf
Colour the ring and tails red around the cheeks, but not the hole. Leave the eyes and stripes white.
Step 11: Dark red hole
Colour the hole in the ring dark red. Your cosy scarf is done!
