How to Draw Satay
Draw satay in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
In the middle of your paper draw a big oval plate, leaving a little space on each side.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second oval a finger inside the plate, for the rim.
Step 3: A sauce bowl
At the top left draw a small circle bowl, with a smaller circle of sauce inside.
Tip Satay is grilled meat on little sticks, dipped in peanut sauce.
Step 4: The first skewer
Across the plate draw a long thin stick leaning up to the right, from low left to high right.
Step 5: A second skewer
Below it draw a second stick the same way, a little lower.
Step 6: Meat on the first
On the first stick draw 3 rounded cubes of meat in a row, with small gaps between.
Step 7: Meat on the second
On the second stick draw 3 more cubes the same way, the middle one a little bigger.
Step 8: Cucumber
At the bottom right of the plate draw a cucumber slice: a circle with a smaller circle inside.
Step 9: Blue plate
Go over your lines. Colour the plate sky blue, going around the food. Leave the little bowl white.
Step 10: Tan sauce, cream middle
Colour the peanut sauce tan and the middle of the cucumber cream.
Step 11: Wood sticks, green cucumber
Colour the skewers wood brown and the outside of the cucumber green.
Step 12: Brown meat
Colour the meat brown. Your satay is ready to eat!
