How to Draw a Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko
Draw a satanic leaf-tailed gecko in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wavy branch.
Step 1: Wavy branch
Near the bottom, draw a long wavy branch almost across the paper, a finger thick, round at both ends.
Step 2: Head and body
Above the branch, draw the gecko in one line: pointy snout, 2 small horns, a neck, slim body and stalk.
Tip Keep the horns small and pointy, like thorns. The body gets thin at the back.
Step 3: The big eye
Under the horns, draw one big round eye with a big black pupil and a white shine.
Step 4: Grin and nostril
Start at the snout tip. Draw a grin back under the eye, turning up at the end. Dot a nostril.
Step 5: Two near legs
From the tummy, draw 2 short bent legs down to feet with 3 round toes on the branch.
Tip Rub out the tummy line across the top of each leg.
Step 6: Two far legs
Just behind each leg, draw a far leg peeking out, from the tummy down to the branch.
Step 7: A leaf tail
At the end of the stalk, draw a flat leaf as big as the head, pointing up.
Tip Rub out the stalk line inside the leaf. The tail looks like a dead leaf, so birds miss it.
Step 8: Leaf veins
Start inside the leaf's base. Draw a middle line, stopping before the tip. Add 2 veins on each side.
Tip Stop each vein before the edge of the leaf.
Step 9: Tan gecko
Go over your lines. Colour the gecko, its legs and the leaf tail tan. Leave the eye white.
Step 10: Brown branch
Colour the branch brown, around the feet. Your leaf-tailed gecko is done!
