How to Draw a Rosary
Draw a rosary in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the loop.
Step 1: The loop
In the top half, draw a big oval loop, wider than it is tall.
Tip Keep the loop in the top half so the cross has room below.
Step 2: The medal
At the very bottom of the loop, draw a small oval sitting over the line.
Step 3: The hanging thread
Start under the oval. Draw a straight line down and stop three quarters of the way down the page.
Step 4: Cross post
At the end of the line, draw a tall thin box standing up.
Step 5: Crossbar
Across the tall box, near its top, draw a wide box to make a cross.
Tip The wide box sticks out the same on both sides.
Step 6: Thread beads
On the line between the oval and the cross, draw 3 small round beads.
Tip Leave a little gap between the beads so the thread shows.
Step 7: Four big beads
On each side of the loop draw 2 big round beads, one high and one low.
Tip Match the beads on the left with the beads on the right.
Step 8: Top beads
Across the top of the loop, between the 2 high big beads, draw 3 small beads.
Tip Put the middle bead right at the top first.
Step 9: Side beads
On each side, between the high big bead and the low one, draw 3 small beads.
Step 10: Bottom beads
On each side, between the low big bead and the oval, draw 3 small beads.
Tip Now every big bead has 3 small beads on each side of it.
Step 11: Yellow gold
Go over your lines. Colour the oval medal and the 4 big beads yellow.
Step 12: Blue beads
Colour all the small beads light blue, on the loop and on the thread.
Step 13: Brown cross
Colour the cross brown. Your rosary is done!
