How to Draw Rice
Draw rice in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
A little below the middle of your paper draw a wide flat oval for the top of the bowl.
Step 2: The bowl
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a big U down and stop at the right end.
Step 3: The foot
Start under the bowl on the left. Draw a short stand down, across and up to the bowl.
Step 4: A heap of rice
Start at the left end of the rim. Draw a hill of little bumps and stop at the right end.
Tip About 12 bumps, taller than the bowl rim is deep.
Step 5: Grains
On the hill draw 5 tiny ovals for grains of rice. Leave the middle clear for the chopsticks.
Step 6: Chopsticks
Across the rice draw 2 long thin sticks side by side, leaning up to the right and poking out.
Step 7: Stripes on the bowl
From the left of the bowl, draw 2 curved lines across to the right. Add a wavy line between them.
Step 8: Steam
Above the rice draw 2 wiggly steam lines going up, one on each side.
Step 9: The table
Draw a line under the foot from far left to far right, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: White rice, cream bowl
Go over your lines. Leave the rice white. Colour the bowl and its foot cream, but not the band.
Step 11: Blue band, wood chopsticks
Colour the band between the 2 stripes blue and the chopsticks wood brown. Your rice is done!
