How to Draw a Chicken Leg
Draw a chicken leg in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Below the middle draw a big oval plate, wider than your hand. Add a second oval a finger inside.
Step 2: The meat
On the left of the plate draw a plum-sized lump of meat, narrowing to a point toward the upper right.
Tip Like a fat raindrop lying on its side, with plate showing all round.
Step 3: A happy face
On the round part draw 2 round eyes with a dot and shine, a little smile, and 2 cheeks.
Step 4: The bone
From the narrow end draw the bone up to the right: 2 lines curving in to a thin neck.
Tip Thick at the meat, pinched like a waist at the top.
Step 5: The knuckle
On the thin neck draw the knuckle: 2 round bumps with a dip between, like the top of a heart.
Step 6: A shine
Near the top of the meat draw a tiny tilted oval for a shine.
Step 7: Steam
Above the plate, over the meat, draw two wiggly steam lines going up.
Step 8: A leaf
On the plate right of the meat draw a little leaf lying flat, with a vein down its middle.
Step 9: The table
Draw a line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: Cream bone, pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the bone and knuckle cream and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going around the chicken leg and the leaf.
Step 12: Ginger meat, green leaf
Colour the meat ginger around the pink cheeks, leaving the eyes and shine white. Colour the leaf green.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a chicken leg, drawn by you.
