How to Draw a Red Phone Booth

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a red phone booth in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the booth.

Print

  1. Step 1: The booth

In the middle of your paper draw a tall box, almost twice as tall as it is wide.

  2. Step 2: The domed top

On top of the box draw a gentle dome, a little wider than the box on each side.

  3. Step 3: The sign band

Just below the top, draw a line from the left edge across to the right edge, making a sign band.

  4. Step 4: PHONE

Write PHONE in big block capitals inside the band, with a little space above and below.

  5. Step 5: The door

Below the band draw a tall box inside the booth, a finger in from each side, for the door.

  6. Step 6: Window panes

Split the door into 12 panes: 2 lines down, 3 across. Add a short handle just left of the door.

  7. Step 7: The base

Under the booth draw a flat step, a little wider than the box on each side.

  8. Step 8: Ground and grass

Draw a ground line under the step, almost edge to edge. Add 3 grass blades each side of the step.

  9. Step 9: Cream sign

Colour the sign band cream, going round the letters.

  10. Step 10: Sky panes, grey base

Colour the door panes sky blue and the base grey.

  11. Step 11: Red booth

Colour the booth and dome red, around the sign and the door. Your phone booth is ready!
