How to Draw a Red Hood
Draw a red hood in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head, draw 2 round eyes with black dots and eyelashes. Add a nose and smile.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
Start beside the left eye, draw hair over the head to the right eye. Curve a fringe across the forehead.
Step 4: The hood
Start on the left shoulder. Draw a big hood up and round the hair, and stop on the right shoulder.
Step 5: Neck and dress
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one, draw a dress with short sleeves, ending at the right.
Tip Add a belt: 2 lines across the waist.
Step 6: The cape
From each end of the hood, draw a long line sloping out and down, wider than the dress. Join them.
Step 7: Arms
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending out at the elbow and getting thinner.
Step 8: Mitten hands
Start at each wrist, draw a mitten with a little thumb pointing in, and stop at the other side.
Step 9: Legs
From the hem, draw 2 lines down each leg, out at the calf, and stop at the thin ankle.
Step 10: Shoes and ground
At the bottom of each leg, draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Add a ground line under them.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Keep the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow hair, red hood
Colour the hair yellow. Colour the hood and the cape red, around the face and arms.
Step 13: Blue dress, black shoes
Colour the dress blue around the belt. Colour the belt and shoes black. Go over your lines.
