How to Draw a Rattle
Draw a rattle in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.
Step 1: The ball
In the upper middle of your paper draw a big round ball, as big as your fist.
Step 2: The handle
Under the ball draw 2 lines going down, close together, for the handle. Join them at the bottom.
Tip The handle is a little shorter than the ball is tall.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the ball draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Add a black dot and white shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The collar
Where the handle meets the ball draw a short wide block, a little wider than the handle.
Step 6: The ring
At the bottom of the handle draw a circle half as wide as the ball. Add a smaller circle inside.
Step 7: Shake lines
On each side of the ball, draw 2 short curved shake lines, like little brackets.
Step 8: Sparkles and table
Add 2 small sparkles, high up on each side. Draw a table line under the ring, from left to right.
Step 9: Yellow handle and ring
Colour the handle, the collar and the ring yellow, leaving the hole white.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 11: Red ball
Colour the ball red, going around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your rattle is ready to shake!
