How to Draw a Rain Cloud
Draw a rain cloud in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cloud top.
Step 1: The cloud top
Near the top, start on the left. Draw 5 big round bumps up and over. Stop on the right.
Step 2: The cloud bottom
Start where the bumps ended on the right. Draw 3 shallow bumps across the bottom until you meet the start.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Just below the middle of the cloud, draw 2 big egg eyes a finger apart. Add black dots and shines.
Step 4: Big smile
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile from under the left eye to under the right eye.
Step 5: Rain
Under the cloud draw a row of 7 short straight rain lines, spread across the whole cloud.
Step 6: A puddle
Lower down, draw a long flat oval for the puddle, about as wide as the rain.
Step 7: Ripples
Inside the puddle near each end, draw a short curved ripple line that follows the edge.
Step 8: More rain
Under the gaps, draw 6 more rain lines. Stop them a finger above the puddle.
Step 9: Blue puddle
Colour the puddle blue.
Step 10: Grey cloud
Colour the cloud grey around the eyes, and leave the eyes white. Your rain cloud is done!
