How to Draw a Radioactive Symbol
Draw a radioactive symbol in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the round sign.
Step 1: The round sign
Draw a big round circle that fills most of the paper. Go slowly, back to the start.
Tip Turn the paper as you go to keep the circle round.
Step 2: The border
Just inside it draw a second circle, the same shape, to make a thin border all the way round.
Step 3: The middle dot
Right in the middle of the sign draw a small round dot.
Step 4: The bottom blade
Under the dot draw a fan shape, narrow near the dot and wide at the bottom. Leave a small gap.
Tip Each blade is like a slice of pizza with the tip bitten off.
Step 5: The left blade
Draw the same fan shape pointing up and to the left. Leave a gap as wide as a blade.
Step 6: The right blade
Draw the last fan pointing up and to the right, so all 3 blades match.
Tip The 3 gaps are the same size as the 3 blades.
Step 7: Yellow sign
Colour the sign yellow inside the border, around the dot and the 3 blades. Leave them white.
Tip Yellow goes first so the black stays clean.
Step 8: Black dot
Colour the middle dot black.
Step 9: Black blades
Colour the 3 blades black. Press hard so they are dark.
Step 10: Black border
Colour the thin border black and go over your lines. Your radioactive symbol is done!
