How to Draw a Radio Tower
Draw a radio tower in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the mast.
Step 1: The mast
Up the middle of your paper draw a tall thin tower, wide at the bottom and narrow at the top.
Tip A radio tower is a tall metal mast that beams out radio signals.
Step 2: Rungs
Draw five straight lines across the tower from one side to the other, evenly spaced, for the metal rungs.
Step 3: Cross braces
Zigzag one slanted line across each section, from the top of the tower down to its bottom corner.
Step 4: Antenna
From the top of the tower draw a thin antenna straight up, with a little round tip.
Step 5: Signal waves
On each side of the tip draw 2 curved lines bowing away from it, a small one then a bigger one.
Step 6: Little hut
Right of the tower's foot draw a little hut, a small box with a triangle roof and a door.
Tip Keep the hut small, about as tall as the bottom section of the tower.
Step 7: Dish
On the left side of the tower, partway up, draw a small oval dish on a short arm.
Step 8: Ground
Draw a ground line under the tower and hut from left to right.
Step 9: Red and white bands
Go over your lines, then colour every other section red, starting at the top. Leave the rest white.
Step 10: Grey hut
Colour the hut and the dish grey, and the roof dark grey.
Step 11: Red tip
Colour the antenna tip red. Broadcasting!
