How to Draw Big Ben
Draw Big Ben in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall tower.
Step 1: The tall tower
In the middle of your paper draw a tall thin tower, from near the bottom up to halfway.
Tip Keep it tall and thin: about 3 times as tall as it is wide.
Step 2: The clock box
On top of the tower draw a box a little wider than the tower, with a thin ledge under it.
Step 3: The spire
On the box draw a short band. From its top corners draw 2 long lines up to a sharp point.
Step 4: The clock face
In the box draw a round clock. From its middle draw a short hand up and a long hand right.
Step 5: Tall windows
Down the tower draw 3 tall thin rainbow windows, one above the other, with a little sill under each.
Step 6: Grooves
Draw a long line down each side of the tower, a little in from the edge, box to bottom.
Step 7: The ground
Draw the ground line from each bottom corner out to the edge, with 3 grass blades at each end.
Step 8: Bushes and a cloud
Draw a bumpy dome bush on the ground either side of the tower. Add a puffy cloud on the right.
Step 9: Cream clock, sky windows
Colour the clock face cream, the windows sky blue, and the cloud white. Go over your lines!
Step 10: Tan tower
Colour the tower, the band and the clock box tan, going around the clock and the windows.
Step 11: Green spire and bushes
Colour the bushes light green and the spire dark green, right up to the point.
