How to Draw a Race Car Bed

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a race car bed in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the car side.

Print

  1. Step 1: The car side

Draw a long low car: flat along the bottom, a round nose on the right, a long dip on top.

Tip Make the dip long: a whole bed has to fit in it.

  2. Step 2: Two wheels

Draw 2 big round wheels, one near each end, hanging a little below the car.

Tip Rub out the car line inside each wheel.

  3. Step 3: The hubs

In the middle of each wheel draw a smaller circle with a dot inside.

  4. Step 4: Thick mattress

In the dip draw a thick mattress standing above the car's side: a long flat top, round at the front.

  5. Step 5: Wide pillow

At the back end of the mattress draw a wide flat pillow lying on top.

  6. Step 6: Spoiler headboard

Draw a post on the car's back and a post behind the pillow. Lay a long flat plank across both.

  7. Step 7: The blanket

Past the pillow draw a blanket over the mattress: a bumpy top, hanging down the side to a wavy bottom.

Tip Rub out the car and mattress lines under the blanket.

  8. Step 8: Folded edge

Start on top of the blanket, near its left side. Draw a line straight down to the wavy bottom.

  9. Step 9: Number and headlight

Under the pillow draw a circle with a big 1 inside. Near the nose draw a small oval headlight.

  10. Step 10: The floor

Start left of the car. Draw a long floor line under both wheels, stopping past the nose.

  11. Step 11: Yellow and cream

Colour the headlight and the 2 hubs yellow, around their dots. Colour the mattress cream.

  12. Step 12: Red racing car

Colour the car's side, the posts and the plank red. Leave the number circle white.

  13. Step 13: Blue blanket

Colour the blanket blue. Leave its folded edge and the pillow white.

  14. Step 14: Black tyres

Go over your lines. Colour both tyres and their dots black. Your race car bed is ready for bedtime!
