How to Draw a Raccoon Dog
Draw a raccoon dog in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Top left: draw a big round head, a bit wider than tall. Leave room on the right for the body.
Step 2: Eyes and patches
Draw 2 big eyes across the middle of the head. Draw a patch round each eye, pointing down and out.
Tip Leave a light gap between the 2 patches.
Step 3: Snout and smile
Draw a round snout under the eyes. Add a black nose, then a line from it down to a smile.
Step 4: Ears and fluffy cheeks
Draw a round cookie ear on each top corner, with a curve inside. Add 3 fluffy bumps on each cheek.
Step 5: The body
Start behind the head below the ear. Draw a smooth bean body with a fluffy chest, stopping under the cheek.
Tip No neck: the head sits right on the shoulders.
Step 6: Two legs
Draw a low ground line. Add a front leg and a back leg, each ending in a round paw.
Step 7: The far legs
Draw the 2 far legs peeking out: 1 behind the front leg and 1 in front of the back leg.
Step 8: Bushy tail
From the top of its bottom draw a short, fat bushy tail. Draw a curve across its round tip.
Step 9: Cream snout, peach ears
Go over your lines. Colour the snout cream and the insides of the ears peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Tan fur
Colour the head, body and tail tan around the snout and ear insides. Skip the patches, legs and tail tip.
Step 11: Dark patches and legs
Colour the eye patches, all 4 legs and the tail tip slate grey, around the eyes.
