How to Draw a Question Mark
Draw a question mark in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the hook.
Step 1: The hook
Above the middle draw a thick hook: start on the left, curve over a round top, down to the middle.
Tip Fat, like a cane handle, with round ends.
Step 2: The dot
Under the hook, leaving a gap, draw a round dot as big as a plum.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
On the dot draw 2 round eyes close together. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: A smile
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, from under the left eye to under the right eye.
Step 5: Thinking marks, right
To the right of the hook draw 2 short lines pointing out, like it is thinking hard.
Step 6: Thinking marks, left
Do the same on the left side: 2 short lines pointing out.
Step 7: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars around the question mark.
Step 8: Floor and shadow
Draw a floor line from left to right, touching the dot's bottom. Add a flat oval shadow under the dot.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles, grey shadow
Go over your lines, then colour the sparkles yellow and the shadow grey.
Step 10: Purple question mark
Colour the hook and dot purple around the eyes. Leave a thin white stripe at the hook's top left.
Tip Keep the eyes white.
