How to Draw a Black Cat Witch

Draw a black cat witch in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Step 1: Big round head
Near the top, draw a big egg on its side. Give each cheek 2 tiny fur points.
Tip The head is more than half of the whole cat.
Step 2: Pointy ears
Start on the left of the head. Draw a tall pointy ear and stop on the head. Do both.
Tip Add a small triangle inside each ear.
Step 3: Eyes, nose and smile
Across the middle, draw 2 big oval eyes with black slits. Add a tiny triangle nose and a W smile.
Tip Cat eyes have tall thin slits, like a door open a crack.
Step 4: Tall witch hat
Start beside the left ear. Draw a tall pointy hat curling over, and stop beside the right ear.
Step 5: Brim, band and buckle
Draw a wide brim along the bottom of the hat, tips turned up. Add a band and a buckle.
Step 6: Round body
Start under each cheek. Draw a big C down to meet at the bottom.
Tip The body is a fat pear, never wider than the head.
Step 7: Front legs
Start under the chin. Draw a U leg with a fat mitten paw, back up to the chin. Do 2.
Step 8: Long curly tail
Start on the right of the body. Draw a fat tail down to the ground, curling up to a point.
Step 9: Back paws
Under each side of the body, draw a plump bun for the back paw. Add 2 toe lines.
Step 10: Whiskers and ground
Start 3 whiskers at the cheek points and fan them out. Draw a ground line under the paws.
Step 11: Yellow eyes, pink nose
Colour the eyes and buckle yellow, and the nose and ear insides pink. Leave a white rim round each eye.
Step 12: Purple hat
Colour the hat and brim purple, and the band orange, around the yellow buckle.
Step 13: Black fur
Colour the head, ears, body, legs, paws and tail black, around the eyes, nose and pink ear insides.
