How to Draw Fireworks
Draw fireworks in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: city rooftops.
Step 1: City rooftops
Near the bottom of your paper, draw a row of block buildings stepping up and down, with a flat bottom.
Tip Leave a little space at each side of the paper.
Step 2: The middle
High above the buildings, draw a small circle, the size of a fingertip, for the middle.
Step 3: Four long sparks
A little way out from the circle, draw 4 long raindrop sparks: up, down, left and right.
Tip Point each raindrop at the circle, and let the side ones droop at the round end.
Step 4: Four more sparks
Beside the top spark and the bottom spark, draw a shorter raindrop spark on each side.
Step 5: The last four sparks
In each of the 4 gaps left, draw one more short raindrop spark, its round end drooping.
Step 6: A small burst
In the top right corner, draw 6 little raindrops in a ring, points in and round ends out.
Step 7: The rocket trail
Just above the left roofs, draw 3 short dashes slanting up toward the middle. Stop well below the burst.
Step 8: Night stars
Draw 2 little stars in the night sky: one high on the left and one low on the right.
Step 9: Yellow sparks
Go over your lines. Colour the middle, the 4 long sparks and both stars yellow.
Step 10: Red sparks
Colour the 4 sparks beside the top and bottom sparks red, and the small burst red too.
Step 11: Blue sparks
Colour the last 4 short sparks, beside the side sparks, blue.
Step 12: Navy city
Colour the buildings navy blue. Your fireworks light up the night sky!
